Clearance is how the university confirms that you are who your admission letter says you are, that your fees are settled, and that you are fit to be on campus. Each unit below signs its own part. Course registration opens when the last of them has signed.
You can see which units have signed, and which have not, at any time on your student portal.

Medical Centre
The Medical Centre needs three things, and only one of them means coming to see us.
1. Your health declaration, on the portal
Sign in to your student portal and open Medical clearance. It takes about five minutes, it saves as you go, and you can come back to it. It asks about:
- Genotype
- Hypertension — whether you have ever been diagnosed with it
- Diabetes mellitus — whether you have ever been diagnosed with it
- Asthma — whether you have ever been treated for it
- Drug allergy, or any bad reaction to a medicine
- Any medicine you are taking now
Answer honestly. Nothing you write there affects your admission or your results. It is what a doctor would want to know if you are ever unwell on campus, and it is seen by the Medical Centre only.
2. Your test results, if you are a new student
New students bring the results of:
- Random blood sugar (RBS)
- Hepatitis B surface antigen (HBsAg)
- Hepatitis C virus antibody (anti-HCV)
- Urinalysis
- Chest X-ray
You may upload them on the portal if you have them as files, or bring them with you.
3. Your certificate of medical fitness
From the Caleb University Medical Centre or from a government general hospital. Bring the original to the Medical Centre. You do not need to upload it, and you are not held up waiting for it — fill in the declaration now and bring the certificate when you have it.
Returning students: you have done this before. You only need to tell us what has changed — the declaration asks you exactly that, and it is shorter.

If something is holding you up
Your portal shows which unit has not signed and what it is waiting for. Take that to the unit itself first — they are the only ones who can sign their own part.
