The GST Unit oversees all general studies courses in the University. Its coverage includes the main campus with over 7000 students, the College of Law with about 400 students, the College of Education and the Calab Business School with about 400 students. The Unit has six full time staff and fourteen adjunct staff spread across the various locations of the University. Due to the large population of students, a hybrid method of teaching is adopted.
In addition to the Coordinator, Dr. G. D. Ifarajimi, there is a Deputy Coordinator from the College of Pure and Applied Sciences and also a GST Rep from each college which has made it very easy for students to interact seamlessly with the GST Office.

Gilbert Deinde Ifarajimi (B.Sc, M.Sc, Ph.D, FCA)
Dr. Gilbert Deinde Ifarajimi was born in Imakun-omi, Ogun Waterside Local Government area of Ogun State on 7th February, 1954.

He attended Local Authority Primary School, Araromi Rubber Estate and St Saviours’s Secondary Modern School, Ayila. He proceeded to Methodist Teacher Training College, Sagamu where in addition to being the Senior Prefect in 1978/79, he was the overall best student in his final year.
Dr. Gilbert Deinde Ifarajimi is a 1985 graduate of University of Ife, (now Obafemi Awolowo University) Ile-Ife where he obtained B.Sc Economics degree with first class honours. He also obtained a Masters degree in Transport Studies from Ogun State University, (now Olabisi Onabanjo University) Ago-Iwoye in 1998 and Ph.D in Finance from the University of Lagos, Nigeria in January, 2016.
Dr. G. D. Ifarajimi became a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ACA) in 1991 and a Fellow of the Institute (FCA) in 2002. He became an Associate Member of the Nigerian Institute of Management in 1992 and a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria in 2008.
After working as Class Teacher in various schools in Ogun Waterside, Dr. Ifarajimi worked as an Accountant in Ogun State Local Government Service from 1986 to 1992. He was the Chief Accountant of Midland Galvanizing Products Ltd., Abeokuta up till November, 1993 before joining University of Agriculture Abeokuta as Chief Accountant from December 1993 to June, 1995. He became the Deputy Bursar of Ogun State University, Ago-Iwoye (now Olabisi Onabanjo University) from July, 1995 to March, 1996 and was appointed the University Bursar from March, 1996 to August, 2000. He was the Finance Controller of Ekocorps Plc., Ikeja from December, 2000 to January 2006 before returning to the University system on his appointment as Bursar of the University of Lagos, from February, 2006 to February, 2011.
He was appointed the Pioneer Bursar of Samuel Adegboyega University with effect from 1st July, 2011 and served in the institution until December, 2016.
Dr. Gilbert Ifarajimi, as a consultant, has attended several local, national and international conferences in some of which he delivered papers in the fields of Accounting, Auditing, Economics, Finance and Management. He has also taught as Adjunct Lecturer in some institutions in the fields of Accounting, Economics. Finance and Taxation. He has published some books and several journals in the various fields.
He has published several books and journal articles in his field of study.
On the socio-political front, Dr. Deinde Ifarajimi has held several posts, including:

Dr. Gilbert Ifarajimi is a devout Christian and an Associate Pastor in Christ Apostolic Church where he has been co-ministering a Students’ (English) Assembly since 2001.
Retired but not tired, Dr. G. D. Ifarajimi is currently a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Economics, Caleb University, Imota, Lagos . He is happily married and is blessed with many children and grand-children
