Professor Barine Michael Nwidobie, FCA, FCTI, ACIS, HCIB, MNIM

Professor Barine Michael Nwidobie is a distinguished scholar, administrator, and consultant in the fields of Accounting, Finance, and Taxation, with over three decades of professional, academic, and consulting experience. He is currently a Professor of Accounting & Finance at Caleb University, Lagos, Professor Nwidobie serves as the Dean of Caleb Business School (November 2023–date).

He has also held several key leadership positions within the University, including Dean of the College of Arts, Social and Management Sciences, Director of Quality Assurance, Ag. Director of Academic Planning, and Head of Department of Accounting & Finance, among others. These roles highlight his strategic leadership and commitment to institutional growth, academic quality assurance, and the advancement of higher education in Nigeria.
Professor Nwidobie earned a Ph.D. in Accounting (Finance). He also holds a Master of Science (Economics) from Lagos State University, an MBA in Management from the University of Ado-Ekiti, and a B.Sc. (Hons.) in Accounting from the University of Port Harcourt. A Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) and the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria (CITN), he is also an Honorary Senior Member of the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (CIBN), an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Stockbrokers (CIS), and a Member of the Nigerian Institute of Management (NIM), and the Nigerian Economic Society (NES). In addition, he is a Certified Accreditor of Higher Education Programmes under GUNi-Africa and AfriQAN (2021), and a member of the National Association of Artificial Intelligence Practitioners (2024).
His impressive research portfolio includes over 103 journal articles, multiple book chapters, and numerous conference papers, addressing contemporary issues. He is the Editor-in-Chief of Caleb International Journal of Development Studies and Caleb Business Review, while also reviewing for international publishers such as Springer, Taylor & Francis, and Inderscience. His ability to bridge theory and practice makes him a sought-after resource person for corporate trainings, academic conferences, and professional seminars. A widely respected academic, consultant, and administrator, Professor Barine Michael Nwidobie embodies intellectual excellence, professional integrity, and a strong commitment to advancing accounting, finance, and higher education in Nigeria and globally.
