A certified medical microbiologist with extensive experience in trainings facilitation and capacity building, infectious diseases control, women’s health, antimicrobial resistance and stewardship.

A senior academic who exemplifies the fusion of research, education, community services with sustainable development goals 3 (good health and well-being) and 4 (quality education). With a career spanning over a decade, and a recipient of grants awards, she has made significant contributions to the understanding of infectious diseases, particularly in the context of public health in underserved populations. Throughout her career, she has focused on research that addresses critical health challenges in both developing and developed nations. Her work has notably explored the epidemiology of antibiotic-resistant pathogens, which poses a growing threat to public health worldwide. By employing advanced molecular techniques, she has identified new resistance mechanisms and has been actively involved in the development of strategies aimed at combating this alarming trend. Her research findings have been published in several peer-reviewed journals, earning her recognition among her peers and contributing to the body of knowledge in medical microbiology. She has collaborated with NGOs to promote awareness of infectious diseases and vaccination programs, particularly in rural areas where access to healthcare is limited. Thus, transforming her scientific expertise into practical solutions that improve health outcomes. Her professional affiliations include memberships in renowned international organizations such as the American Society for Microbiology and the African Society for Laboratory Medicine.
