The origin of the Postgraduate College at Caleb University is traceable to the setting up of a Postgraduate Committee in 2011 under Prof. Akinwande who undertook the preparation of guidelines and modality and it was further extended to Prof. Okedele. Based on the Committee’s report, Senate approved the establishment of the Postgraduate College and commenced with the Department of Architecture in the 2014/2015 academic session with (9) nine students under the tutelage of Prof. Olukunle lyanda as Dean. The Postgraduate regulations underwent extensive revision to reflect new developments and programmes by the Postgraduate College Board which were approved by senate during the 2014/2015 academic session, while the first edition of the Postgraduate Education at Caleb University aims at impacting specialized knowledge and skills leading to the attainment by the student of a high level of expertise in a specific field of Architecture, Business Administration, Accounting and Finance, Economics, Mass Communications, and in the core sciences such as Computer Sciences
These objectives are met through the institution of appropriate mix advanced courses, provisions of excellent research and library facilities, as well as teaching supervision by highly experienced Postgraduate academic staff. In general, considerable efforts are being made on a continuous basis by the University to provide a conducive environment for Postgraduate study.
By the academic session of 2021/2022, the National University Commission (NUC) had approved additional Postgraduate courses for the Postgraduate College in Accounting (MPhil/PhD), Finance (MPhil /PhD), Computer Science (PGD, MSc., MPhil/PhD), International Relations (MSc., MPhil/PhD), Mass Communication (MSc., MPhil/PhD), Political Science (MSc.), Microbiology (PGD), Chemistry & Biochemistry (PGD, MSc., MPhil/PhD), Political Science (MPhil/PhD).

Professor Ogunniran Kehinde Olurotimi

Professor Ogunniran Kehinde Olurotimi has established himself both as an academic and a researcher in the areas of Inorganic Synthesis and Material Chemistry. He is a graduate of University of Ilorin, Nigeria with B.Sc. (1999) and M.Sc. (2003) in Chemistry

He has Ph.D (Chemistry) from Covenant University, Nigeria in 2014. He started his academic career as Assistance Lecturer at Igbinedion University, Okada in 2005 before joining Covenant University in Dec., 2006.

He teaches Inorganic/Physical/Industrial chemistry courses. Professor Ogunniran, K. O. was a recipient of TWAS fellowship in 2012 to complete his PhD research work at Central Drug Research Institute, Lucknow, India. He also won TWAS-CSIR postdoctoral fellowship to Central Electrochemical Research Institute in India in 2017.

He is presently in collaboration with Dr R. Thangamuthu at Central Electrochemical Research Institute, India on material for energy Study. He has been actively involved in research through self-initiation and collaboration with other researchers and this has led to publications in accredited/peer-reviewed scientific journals. Prof. Ogunniran, K. O. is a distinguish Professor who is involved with teaching and projects/research supervision at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.

He was appointed Director of Research and Innovations at Kampala International University, Kampala, Uganda in 2018. He is presently an external examiner for Chemistry Department, Lagos State University, Lagos and Dean of College of Pure and Applied Sciences, Caleb University, Imota, Lagos (2021-2023).
