Mrs. Folake Okor hails from Ile-Ife, Osun State, Nigeria. As a determined and focused lady, she enrolled at the University of Ibadan in 1988 to study Linguistics. She graduated from the University after four years with a Bachelors Degree in Linguistics with a Second Class Honours, Upper Division. She later proceeded to the Nigerian Institute of Journalism where she obtained a Postgraduate diploma in Public Relations. She also holds a Master of Public Administration degree from the University of Lagos. Her passion to impart knowledge and for education took her to St. John’s College, Lagos where she took up appointment as an English Teacher.
In 1994, Mrs. Folake Okor joined Caleb International School, the Nursery and Primary Arm of the Caleb Group of Schools as a Classroom Teacher where she nurtured little children to develop great minds of their own.
Her commitment to work and immense contribution towards the upliftment of the great school stood her out amongst her contemporaries. In 1995, she moved to Caleb International College, Magodo, Lagos to teach English Language. Between 1996 and 1999, she lectured on a part-time basis at the Caleb Educational Institute, a diploma-awarding institution and also doubled as the Admission Officer, Caleb Group of Schools, a position from which she rose to become the Vice-Principal (Administration) and later, Deputy Principal, Caleb International College, Lekki.
Mrs. Folake Okor joined Caleb University at inception when she was appointed as a Senior Assistant Registrar in the Registry in February, 2008. In 2010, she was transferred to the Establishments Unit where she worked for a couple of years and rose to the rank of a Principal Assistant Registrar.
In November 2012, being the most deserving and distinguished staff she was appointed the Acting Registrar of Caleb University, Lagos.
Mrs. Folake Okor has attended several conferences and workshops in Nigeria and outside the Country. She has to her credit a long list of awards. She lives in Lagos with her family.
