It is no longer news that Mr. Mayokun Olumeru has recently been appointed as the Ag Registrar of Caleb University. What may however be news are some of the amazing facts below.  Mr. Mayokun Olumeru, a platinum-level member and National Rop Scorer of the Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA), is well versed in IT Governance and Management & Information Systems Operations and Business Resilience. He is also a member of the Association of Computer Machinery (ACM).

  1. Mr. Mayokun Olumeru is a multidisciplinary, multilingual, multi-talented, and multiple Master’s Degrees holder.
  2. He obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Physiology from the University of Ilorin in 2001 after which he started his career as the Operations/Sales Manager for Health Afric Magazine.
  3. He served as a Class Teacher for his National Youth Service in 2002, and was retained as a teacher in his place of primary assignment — Victory High School/Victory College, Lagos.
  4. He bagged his first Master’s Degree in Medical Physiology from the University of Lagos in 2005.
  5. He joined the banking industry in 2005, where he brilliantly rose to the position of Head of Operations.  He handled strategic administrative roles as part of the branch-level management, before his resignation in 2011.
  6. He left the banking industry and travelled overseas to pursue his second Master’s Degree in Computing Science from University of Newcastle upon Tyne, Newcastle. He equally holds a distinction certificate in Travel and Tourism Services and a Level 2 award in Meet and Greet Services both from Newcastle College, Newcastle.
  7. Arriving from the UK in 2012, he spent some time gaining industrial experience at the Nigeria Liquefied Natural Gas (NLNG) facility in Bonny Island, before venturing into private business in building construction between 2013 and 2014. He played a key role as a member of the Newcastle City contingent that welcomed members of the international community to Newcastle City during the London 2012 Olympics.
  8. Not satisfied with the two Master’s Degrees, he featured in two other Master Degree programmes in Instructional Design and Technology from Walden University, USA after which he bagged the fourth Master’s degree in Computer Science (Software Engineering) from Babcock University, Nigeria.
  9. He was Senior Special Assistant to the Chancellor/CEO, Caleb University/Caleb Group of Schools before joining Caleb University as the pioneer Deputy Registrar (Strategic Management Services), where he was pivotal to the Caleb University’s monumental, pioneering and seamless transition to virtual learning during the Covid 19 induced lockdown.
